Job Description

Overview A growing and well-established engineering firm is seeking a Structural Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, educational, industrial, institutional, and residential developments. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who also enjoys managing projects, mentoring teams, and engaging with clients. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through construction while contributing to the overall success and growth of the team. Responsibilities * Manage structural engineering projects from initial concept through final delivery * Lead the design and analysis of structural systems across a variety of project types including commercial, education, industrial, institutional, and residential * Oversee the preparation of construction documents, calculations, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards * Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle * Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery * Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to maintain quality and design intent * Conduct site visits to evaluate construction progress and address field conditions * Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional development Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering * 6 to 12 years of structural engineering experience, with demonstrated project management responsibilities * Professional Engineer license required * Proven experience managing projects across commercial, educational, industrial, institutional, and residential sectors * Strong technical background in steel, concrete, wood, and masonry design * Proficiency with structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, or similar * Experience with Revit or other BIM platforms * Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards Key Skills * Strong leadership and project management capabilities * Excellent communication and client-facing skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously * Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities * Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to project delivery What Sets This Role Apart This opportunity provides a clear path toward senior leadership while maintaining hands-on involvement in technically diverse and impactful projects.
