Job Description

Head - Stores: Lead and manage end-to-end stores and warehouse operations to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials for plant operations, optimize inventory levels, strengthen inventory controls, and drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Responsibilities: - Lead plant stores, warehouse, and inventory management operations. - Ensure timely receipt, storage, preservation, and issue of raw materials, engineering spares, consumables, packing materials, and finished goods. - Maintain optimum inventory levels and improve inventory accuracy through effective planning and control. - Oversee GRN processing, stock reconciliation, physical verification, and ERP (SAP MM) transactions. - Drive inventory optimization using ABC, VED, FSN, and other inventory management techniques. - Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, material handling, and 5S implementation. - Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain for uninterrupted material availability. - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, EHS standards, and audit requirements. - Develop KPIs, monitor warehouse performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Lead, coach, and develop the stores and warehouse team. Educational Qualification: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Production) preferred. - MBA/PGDM in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Operations Management preferred. Experience: - 12-18 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, and Inventory Management. - Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within Manufacturing, Fertilizer, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Cement, Heavy Engineering, or Process Industries.
