Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead large-scale, enterprise-wide application development and system integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end technology projects in structured, non-Agile environments, with strong expertise in Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), financial governance, vendor management, and stakeholder communication. This role requires a hands-on project leader capable of driving complex integration programs from project initiation through implementation while ensuring alignment with business objectives, budget commitments, and delivery timelines. Key Responsibilities: - Lead large-scale, end-to-end IT application development and integration projects throughout the full project lifecycle. - Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and governance frameworks. - Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and change controls. - Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors. - Ensure successful execution of complex system integrations, application modernization initiatives, and enterprise transformation projects. PMLC & SDLC Governance: - Apply Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies across all phases of project execution. - Drive project gate reviews, approvals, and governance checkpoints. - Establish risk management plans, mitigation strategies, and escalation procedures. - Ensure project deliverables meet organizational quality standards and compliance requirements. - Maintain complete project documentation and audit readiness. Financial Management: - Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. - Track project expenditures and monitor budget performance against approved baselines. - Identify budget variances and implement corrective actions. - Prepare financial status reports for executive leadership and steering committees. - Manage project funding requests and resource allocation planning. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: - Manage relationships with external vendors, consulting partners, and system integrators. - Hold vendors accountable for contractual commitments, deliverables, service levels, and project outcomes. - Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and status reviews. - Translate technical project details into business-focused updates for senior leadership. - Drive stakeholder alignment and manage expectations throughout project execution. Risk & Issue Management: - Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and operational impacts. - Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. - Manage project issue resolution through structured escalation processes. - Ensure project objectives are achieved while minimizing operational disruption. Required Qualifications: - 10+ years of IT Project Management experience. - Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise application development and system integration projects. - Demonstrated success delivering projects from initiation through production deployment. - Experience managing projects in Waterfall or Hybrid delivery environments. - Strong experience operating within structured governance frameworks rather than Agile-only environments. - Experience managing multimillion-dollar project budgets and financial forecasting. - Experience overseeing third-party vendors and implementation partners. Preferred Qualifications: - Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance experience strongly preferred. - Experience supporting Policy Administration Systems, Claims Management Systems, Underwriting Platforms, and Insurance Operations Workflows. - Financial Services industry experience will also be considered. - Enterprise application integration programs, legacy modernization initiatives, digital transformation programs, core platform migrations, policy administration system implementations, and data integration and system interoperability projects.
