Job Description

Role Overview: Company: Leading Automobile company (Indian) Job Profile: Financial Controller Job Location: Delhi Education: CA / MBA (Finance) Looking for somebody who has experience in Plant Finance / Corporate Finance. Plant Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the complete financial operations and controls of the manufacturing plant. The role will partner closely with Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Corporate Finance to drive profitability, cost efficiency, financial discipline, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Own the plant P&L, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/annual financial closing. - Lead plant cost accounting, including standard costing, product costing, BOM costing, COGS and manufacturing cost analysis. - Monitor and control material, labour, manufacturing overheads, conversion costs, scrap, wastage, and cost per unit. - Conduct detailed actual vs. budget/forecast variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to the Plant Leadership Team. - Manage inventory accounting and controls, including inventory valuation, cycle counts, excess/obsolete inventory and inventory reconciliation. - Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting. - Monitor working capital, including inventory, receivables, payables and cash-flow-related metrics. - Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives in partnership with plant operations. - Review and control CAPEX, business cases, investment proposals and return on investment. - Ensure strong internal financial controls, compliance with company policies and applicable accounting/statutory requirements. - Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations. - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and manufacturing-related data in ERP/SAP systems. - Provide financial insights to support decisions related to production, capacity utilization, pricing, sourcing, productivity and profitability. - Develop and monitor plant-level financial KPIs, operational KPIs and cost dashboards. - Lead, mentor and develop the plant finance/accounting team.
