Job Description

Role Overview: Our client is a well-funded, high-growth manufacturing company undergoing significant business transformation and expansion. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a critical leadership role responsible for building a scalable finance function, driving operational excellence, strengthening governance, and partnering with the leadership team to support the company's next phase of growth. This opportunity is ideal for finance leaders who have successfully worked in high-growth startup environments and bring strong manufacturing and plant finance experience. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end Finance Operations function, including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), Treasury, Taxation, Governance, Financial Reporting, and Internal Controls. - Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial hygiene of the books of accounts. - Lead statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, financial due diligence, and ensure timely closure of audit observations. - Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, financial policies, and standard operating procedures while driving continuous process improvements across the organization. - Drive timely invoicing, collections, receivables management, and optimize the Order-to-Cash cycle. - Monitor and optimize working capital, cash flow, liquidity, and funds management to support business growth. - Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, lenders, auditors, consultants, and other external stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, taxation, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements. - Partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to strengthen inventory controls, product costing, plant finance, gross margin improvement, and operational efficiencies. - Lead ERP implementation and finance transformation initiatives (SAP experience preferred) to build scalable and technology-enabled finance processes. - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team of 30+ professionals, driving performance management, capability development, succession planning, and career growth. - Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial insights, improve business performance, and support strategic decision-making. - Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives including business growth, profitability enhancement, fundraising, due diligence, finance transformation, governance, and IPO readiness. - Undertake additional strategic and operational responsibilities as assigned by the CFO to support the evolving needs of the business. Candidate Profile: - Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1420 years of post-qualification experience. - Candidates must have worked in a high-growth startup environment. - Hands-on Manufacturing / Plant Finance experience is mandatory. - Strong experience in Financial Controllership, Accounting, Treasury, Taxation, Audit, Compliance, and Finance Operations. - Proven experience leading finance teams of 30+ professionals. - Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, including inventory management, product costing, plant operations, working capital management, and financial controls. - Experience driving ERP implementation or finance transformation initiatives (SAP preferred). - Exposure to fundraising, due diligence, investor reporting, or IPO readiness will be an added advantage. - Strong leadership, stakeholder management, business partnering, and problem-solving capabilities.
