Tookitaki - Manager - Data Science

Tookitaki is looking for a Data Science Manager Client Experience to lead post-production success for our AI-powered AML and Fraud solutions used by leading banks and fintechs globally. In this role, you will lead a team of Data Scientists responsible for model optimization, alert tuning, threshold calibration, performance reviews, and ongoing client engagement. You will work closely with clients to improve detection effectiveness, reduce false positives, and drive measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Own client success and value realization after production go-live - Lead model tuning, threshold optimization, and alert quality improvements - Conduct performance reviews and health checks of deployed models - Partner with clients to understand evolving business and regulatory requirements - Drive experimentation and data-driven recommendations - Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Client Success teams - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Client Experience Data Scientists What We're Looking For: - 7 - 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, AML, Fraud, Risk, or Financial Crime domains - 2 - 4+ years of people management experience - Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills - Hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, Machine Learning, Statistical Analysis, and Model Evaluation - Experience in model tuning, threshold optimization, risk segmentation, and performance monitoring - Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and business audiences Preferred Experience: - AML Transaction Monitoring, Screening, Fraud Detection, or Financial Crime Compliance - Banking, Fintech, Payments, or Digital Wallet ecosystems - SaaS or Enterprise Software environments - Managing geographically distributed teams Why Tookitaki?: At Tookitaki, we're building the Trust Layer for Financial Services, helping financial institutions stay ahead of financial crime through AI-driven AML and Fraud solutions.
