Job Description

What the customer needs : A senior-level architect who can own the big-picture view of the customer's Microsoft Fabric platform not hands-on pipeline building but planning and oversight across multiple teams and projects. Manage the backlog of pending work across all Fabric workstreams/projects : - Prioritize, organize, and keep it clean 3. Identify and address technical debt : - Older or quick-fix solutions that need to be cleaned up or redesigned properly 4. Coordinate across multiple project teams : - Make sure their work doesn't conflict and dependencies are managed (e.g., if Team A's work depends on Team B finishing something first) Ideal candidate profile : 5. Senior Fabric expert : - Architect-level, not just a developer, with experience across multiple Fabric projects, not just one 6. Strong at big-picture planning, prioritization, and stakeholder communication : - Not just technical build 7. Comfortable working across teams and managing dependencies between projects : - Ability to navigate complex organizational structures 8. Prior experience owning a roadmap or leading architecture decisions at an enterprise level : - Proven track record of high-level technical leadership Required Skillset : - Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying complex data architectures within Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure ecosystem. - Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for building sophisticated data processing pipelines and complex analytical models. - Strong background in data engineering principles, including ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and performance tuning of distributed systems. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and C-suite executives. - Proven ability to lead large-scale technical projects, managing stakeholder expectations while maintaining rigorous delivery timelines. - A minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in data engineering and architectural roles, with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
