KPMG - Senior Consultant - Digital Government Advisory - North East

Role Overview: - As a Senior Consultant within KPMG India's Digital Government Advisory team, based in Assam, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing digital transformation initiatives for government clients in the North-east region. - You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, internal KPMG teams, and technology partners to deliver innovative solutions that improve citizen services, enhance operational efficiency, and promote economic development. - Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding clients through the complexities of digital adoption and ensuring the successful implementation of impactful projects. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end delivery of government consulting projects (planning - execution - monitoring - closure) with timely, high-quality outcomes. - Build and manage project plans, resource requirements, milestone tracking, and governance routines. - Drive stakeholder management: conduct client presentations and working sessions with senior bureaucrats / government officials. - Manage coordination across vendors, implementation partners, internal teams, ensuring alignment and issue resolution. - Support Bid & Procurement: RFP management, compliance checks, procurement support, contract execution, and monitoring. - Own program reporting: dashboards, MIS, executive decks, progress reports, and steering committee updates. - Identify and mitigate project risks, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth communication across stakeholders. - Lead teams: work allocation, quality control, process compliance, and performance management. - Ensure strong documentation, audit trails, and knowledge management across project phases. - Contribute to business development: proposal strategy, solutioning, and improving win conversion for large/complex bids. Skills & Experience Required Must-Have Experience: - 7+ years in Government Advisory / Consulting / Project Management with delivery experience on mid/large-scale government programs. - Proven ability to deliver client pitch presentations to senior government stakeholders. - End-to-end Bid Management experience: ownership of RFP processes, compliance, contributor coordination, progress tracking, and timely submission. - Strong exposure to procurement and governance frameworks: GFR, CVC guidelines, Procurement Manuals, Model RFPs, MeitY procurement rules. - Hands-on experience in Procurement processes, Vendor coordination, Stakeholder engagement. - Experience with multilateral/international funded projects (preferred). - Big 4 experience (preferred). Technical & Documentation Skills - Strong MS Office skills (PPT/Excel/Word) and high-quality writing and articulation. - Experience preparing and managing key documents: BRDs, FRS, DPRs, As-Is/To-Be reports, contracts, technical reports. - Ability to manage cross-functional Agile teams (UI/UX, Dev, QA, Product) and support delivery of dashboards/digital platforms. - Tools preferred: Canva / Figma / Visio. Certifications: PMP / PRINCE2 - Mandatory
