Senior IT Project Manager

What success looks like in this role:

• Independently manages multiple large and complex projects requiring high levels of functional integration and procedural change management.

• Manages large cross-functional project teams comprised of business and technical team members.

• Plays a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes and tools to enable effective project management and success.

• Oversees projects with complex business and technical challenges.

• Addresses escalated issues requiring both technical depth and business acumen to solve, ensuring minimal disruption to the project and to the business.

• Determines and coordinates sharing of leveraged resources among projects.

• Defines, implements and consults on project management standards and processes for relevant teams or projects.

You will be successful in this role if you have: BA/BS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in the public sector or with government clients.

Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications preferred). Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Trello for project tracking and reporting. This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. Therefore, to conform to U. S.
