About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with a focus on Site Development to join their team in Mahikeng. This role is crucial for managing the planning, design, and execution of projects that prepare land for construction, including grading, drainage, utility connections, and access roads. You will work closely with architects, developers, and construction crews to ensure seamless project progression from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities • Design site layouts, grading plans, and stormwater management systems for new developments. • Coordinate utility services, including water, sewer, and electrical connections. • Prepare permit applications and liaise with municipal authorities for project approvals. • Conduct site investigations and prepare reports on existing conditions. • Oversee construction activities related to site preparation, ensuring adherence to design and specifications. • Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and contractors throughout the development process. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum of 4 years of experience in site development design and project coordination. • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software. • Understanding of local zoning ordinances, land use regulations, and permitting processes. • Experience with stormwater management design and hydrological calculations. • Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective coordination.
