Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane YOUR NEW ROLE As a KEY member of the winning PATENTS team of this multi-award winning exponentially growing IP firm (led by some of Australia's most accomplished and internationally renowned IP specialists), you will enjoy the responsibility+ stimulation+ challenge of advising local and international clients in respect of a full spectrum of technical and commercial issues relating to a diverse range of patents mainly within the ICT/electronics/software and mechanical engineering niche. Key focus areas: drafting/prosecuting/filing patents in Australia & overseas, advising on enforcement and validity issues. WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you: • are a fully qualified Australian/NZ patent attorney with a minimum of 6 months' PLUS post-qualification experience [OR MORE up to senior associate] OR a trainee patent attorney [currently studying Masters of IP to become qualified]; • have a degree or higher qualification in ENGINEERING [electrical and/or computer engineering, mechanical, mechatronics, automotive]and/or IT//COMPUTER SCIENCE or similar; • have had some hands-on experience in prosecuting/drafting patents and some opposition experience [preferable]; • have strong technical, analytical + communication/people skills + strong commercial acumen; • are serious about carving out a LONG-TERM successful career with a vibrant successful firm that has the resources to support and help you to reach your full potential.
