Role : Lead / Senior Merchandiser - Handicraft / Textile / Rug & Carpets Location : Jaipur Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Lead/Senior Merchandiser with 8-10 years of proven expertise in the home textile or carpet industry. The ideal candidate will take complete ownership of the buyer account-from initial inquiry to final shipment-ensuring smooth coordination between design, production, and quality control teams. This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to client servicing. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the primary point of contact for international buyers, ensuring seamless communication and prompt responses. - Manage the complete order lifecycle-from development, sampling, approvals, and production follow-up to shipment. - Interpret and communicate buyer requirements accurately to internal teams (design, production, QC). - Oversee time and action calendars (T&A), ensuring all milestones are met and timelines are strictly followed. - Ensure all buyer specifications related to quality, packaging, testing, and compliance are adhered to. - Maintain updated trackers for sampling, orders, shipment schedules, and payment follow-ups. - Lead a small team (if applicable), providing guidance and mentorship to junior merchandisers. - Stay updated with market trends, buyer preferences, and contribute to product development ideas accordingly. - Work closely with the documentation and logistics team to ensure timely and accurate dispatches. Education Qualification / Work Experience & Skills : - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Textile Design, Fashion, or related discipline with 8-15 years of relevant experience in merchandising-preferably in carpets, rugs, or home textiles or textile. - Strong command over international buyer communication and handling high-volume accounts. - In-depth understanding of production processes, export procedures, and quality requirements. - Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. - Proficient in MS Office, Excel. - Leadership experience or team-handling capabilities. - Hands-on experience with overseas client visits, trade shows, or exhibitions. - A keen eye for design and product detailing.
