Job Description
In this role, you’ll coordinate and manage technical payroll accounting activities across Scale’s global footprint. You’ll manage the preparation, maintenance, processing, analysis and auditing of manual and automated payroll data, information, records and reports – ensuring accuracy and completeness of payroll transactions. You’ll also lead, train and provide guidance to internal and external partners, and serve as a clear point of contact for resolving payroll related inquiries. English fluency is required. You will: Support End-to-End Payroll Processing: Execute multi-frequency domestic and international payroll cycles, accurately managing all compensation inputs, deductions, and employee lifecycle changes. Compliance & Audits: Perform rigorous pre- and post-payroll audits, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure strict adherence to all multi-jurisdictional tax, labor, and company regulations. Accounting & Reporting: Support payroll accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, management reporting, and year-end tax activities (e.g., W-2s). Employee Support & Vendor Management: Operate the payroll help desk as the primary resource for employee inquiries and coordinate daily with external vendors, PEO/EOR partners, and tax agencies. Systems & Process Optimization: Leverage HRIS and modern technologies (including AI tools) to maintain confidential records, adapt to legislative changes, and continuously improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
