Job Description
TL;DR We're hiring a part-time Paralegal (US, remote; Idaho a plus) to support Kelvin 's legal team on an ongoing, non-caseload basis, think contract templates, playbooks, and NDA/MSA review, not litigation.
This is a flat-rate contractor role: $2,500–$4,000/month regardless of hours worked, with the workload estimated around 20 hours a week on average, though it'll vary week to week. Reports to Meredith Gittings, Director of Legal.
The Role Kelvin is a Series B, fast-moving technology company, and our legal team is looking for a part-time paralegal to support our internal legal operations.
This isn't a caseload-driven role; it's ongoing legal support: keeping our contract templates and playbooks current, reviewing incoming NDAs and other legal documents, and helping keep our legal files and internal policies organized and up to date.
Like everyone here, you may be expected to work cross-functionally rather than staying inside a narrowly defined legal lane.
Kelvin builds software that lets industrial operations, in mining, energy, manufacturing, and other continuous-process industries, act on their own real-time data through the control systems they already run, with guardrails and human oversight built in.
What You'll Do
Review and update Kelvin 's contract templates to keep them accurate, consistent, and aligned with current legal and business requirements and changes.
Create and maintain playbooks that document how common contract types and clauses should be negotiated and reviewed and keep track of commercial decisions from leadership.
Review NDAs, MSAs, and other incoming legal documents from clients and prospective partners, including running redline comparisons between versions and flagging deviations from Kelvin 's standard positions.
Clean up and organize internal legal files and folders so documents are easy to find and version control stays clear. Review and help update internal policies, ensuring they're current and consistently formatted. Take on relate
