Full-Stack Software Engineer

Salary: £43,500 - 71,500 per year Requirements: • We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience. • We require hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. • We require strong proficiency in modern programming languages, with JavaScript/TypeScript experience in React and Node.js. • We require experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale environment using modern programming and database querying languages. • We require a solid understanding of agile methodologies, including continuous integration and continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security practices. • We require demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence/machine learning, or mobile. • We require working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. • We require hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools in the work environment, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs. • We require understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations. • Preferred: familiarity with Python for backend services or tooling. • Preferred: exposure to cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices. • Preferred: experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning concepts and tooling relevant to infrastructure and operations use cases. Responsibilities: • We apply advanced technical skills to design, develop, and deliver full-stack solutions across frontend React and backend Node.js/TypeScript and Python services. • We create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run reliably and synchronously with appropriate systems. • We produce architecture and design artifacts for complex application components and ensure design constraints are met in implementation. • We gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations from large data sets to support continuous improvement of software applications. • We proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture. • We develop subject matter expertise in a technical domain relevant to Data Center Services, such as UI/UX, backend architecture, software development lifecycle tooling, testing strategy, or operational support. • We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and employee resource groups through facilitation, guest speaking, or content contribution. • We mentor junior software engineers and support their technical growth and development. • We leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards. • We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
