HVAC Design Engineer Position: HVAC Design Engineer Industry: HVAC / MEP / Engineering / Construction Company: Leading HVAC Projects Company - Commercial & Industrial Projects Location: Guindy, Chennai - Work From Office Experience: 2 Years Minimum in HVAC Design - Commercial / Industrial / Hospital / IT Park Projects Mandatory Salary: Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000 per month Employment Type: Full-time - Monday to Saturday Job Summary: We are looking for a detail oriented HVAC Design Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design for commercial / industrial projects. Base location Guindy, Chennai. You will be responsible for load calculations, duct / pipe sizing, equipment selection, and BOQ preparation under project deadlines. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and HAP. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design & Drafting: Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting, and piping drawings using AutoCAD & Revit MEP - Shop drawings and GFC drawings 2. Load Calculations: Perform cooling / heating load calculations using HAP, E20, or manual methods as per ASHRAE standards - Heat load mandatory 3. Equipment Selection: Select AHU, FCU, Chillers, VRF / VRV systems, pumps, and fans based on project requirements and client BOQ 4. BOQ & Documentation: Prepare Bill of Quantities, technical submittals, and material take-offs for tenders - Tender documentation 5. Site Coordination: Coordinate with projects & site teams for design clarifications and resolve site issues - From Guindy office to Chennai sites 6. Standards Compliance: Ensure designs comply with NBC, ISHRAE, ASHRAE & local building codes - Code compliance must 7. Vendor Follow-up: Review vendor drawings and provide technical support during procurement - Equipment submittals approval Required Skills & Qualifications - Mandatory: - Education: B.E / http://B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical with relevant HVAC certification - ISHRAE certification plus - Experience: Minimum 2 years in HVAC design for projects - commercial, residential, hospitals, IT parks preferred - Must have design portfolio - Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD - Mandatory, Revit MEP - Mandatory, HAP - Mandatory.
