Job Description

Salary: £64,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements: • We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. • We require 7+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position. • We require strong expertise in data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing solutions. • We require proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and big data tools like Apache Spark and Python. • We require experience with relational and NoSQL databases. • We require a solid understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and engineering frameworks. • We require proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams and manage cross-functional projects. • We require excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • We require experience with agile development methodologies. Responsibilities: • We lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers. • We design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines and architectures. • We oversee the development and implementation of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lake solutions. • We collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions. • We ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data engineering workflows. • We define best practices and standards for data engineering and promote their adoption. • We drive continuous improvement in data infrastructure and tooling, leveraging cloud platforms and big data technologies. • We collaborate with product managers to manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to meet business goals. • We work with data governance and compliance teams to ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance. • We stay updated with the latest data engineering trends and technologies and evaluate their applicability.
