Job Description
Main Contractor Stable working culture Good Track Record in Each Firm WIP / Project Accounting is preferred. Our client, a leading main contractor , is seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day finance operations, project accounting, and group consolidation across multiple entities.
This role is ideal for candidates with WIP, project accounting, and multi-entity finance experience .
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day-to-day finance operations including AP/AR, intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing across multiple entities Maintain accurate accounting records, audit schedules , and ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements Support group and joint venture consolidation , including consolidation entries, schedules, and reporting updates Coordinate annual statutory audits, group reporting, and statutory filings , liaising with auditors and tax advisors (GST and corporate tax) Prepare management reports, variance analysis , and assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts Oversee treasury activities , including cash flow monitoring, working capital management, and bank settlements Liaise with Company Secretary on corporate secretarial matters, statutory returns, and maintenance of entity records Ensure strong internal controls and governance processes , support system-related accounting matters, and provide guidance to junior team members Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Minimum of 3–5 years experience in accounting, preferably in construction, contractor, or project accounting environments Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills , with high accuracy and attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills , able to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders Familiarity with project accounting, WIP, consolidation, and financial systems (e.
