Specialising in PVC fabrics, aluminium profiles, brushware, and a diverse range of product categories, we provide end-to-end procurement and distribution solutions through direct relationships with global manufacturers and our dedicated sourcing office in China. By combining factory-direct pricing, reliable logistics, robust supply chain capabilities, and ethical sourcing practices, we support both small businesses and large wholesalers with quality products, competitive pricing, and dependable service.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Clerk to join our growing team. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the business, including debtors, creditors, reconciliations, financial record-keeping, and general accounting administration. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient account management, and strong administrative support. Candidates with accounting, bookkeeping, debtors, creditors, or finance administration experience within commercial, wholesale, distribution, FMCG, or corporate environments will be highly advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain debtors and creditors accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Process customer invoices, supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments.
• Perform debtor and creditor reconciliations and investigate account discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding customer accounts and assist with collections while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Allocate customer payments and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end accounting procedures and preparation of financial reports.
• Process journals and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with VAT-related calculations and general compliance requirements.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and service providers regarding account queries and payment matters.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and financial records in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide administrative support to management and assist with reporting requirements.
• Work closely with operations, sales, logistics, and management teams to support overall business objectives.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and contribute to the efficient operation of the finance department.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required by management.
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• Bookkeeping Certification, Diploma, Degree, or related Accounting qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in debtors, creditors, bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a similar finance-related role.
• Experience processing transactions up to Trial Balance level will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with accounting journals including general journals, cashbooks, sales journals, and purchase journals.
• Experience using accounting software such as Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar accounting systems.
• Knowledge of South African accounting and payroll compliance requirements, including VAT, PAYE, EMP201, UIF, SDL, and related submissions, will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and business correspondence.
• Strong written communication and professional letter-writing skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong numerical ability with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.
• Good project management, prioritisation, and time-management skills.
• Clear criminal record.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Well-presented, professional, and adaptable to changing business requirements.
• Ability to understand organisational objectives and contribute to business growth.
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, FMCG, logistics, imports, or commercial environments will be advantageous.
Package & Remuneration
R12,000 – R15,000 per month (Depending on qualifications and experience).
