Job Description
Production Designer
Location: Golden, BC, or Remote
Position Type: Full Time
Compensation: $75,000 - $92,000 Annually
Our client is established as the premier designer and manufacturer in the timber frame industry, consistently delivering high-quality timber frame structures to clients, builders, and architects across North America.
Job Summary
As the Production Designer , you will be primarily responsible for ensuring timber frame structures are designed and drafted to meet customer requirements and expectations. You will also help monitor the production process to support Quality Control and ensure the company's high service standards are consistently met in the final product.
This role is well-suited for someone who has the experience, knowledge, and confidence to take a project from inception through to completion autonomously .
What You'll Do
• Design and draft timber frame structures to meet customer needs and expectations
• Own the design workflow from project start through final deliverables
• Support Quality Control by monitoring production and confirming design intent is followed
• Coordinate design outcomes with production requirements to ensure smooth execution
• Manage project progress independently , ensuring timely completion and accuracy What You'll Bring
• 5+ years of relevant design experience in timber framing, structural design/drafting, or a closely related field
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit , with experience producing clear, production-ready drawings
• Experience with Cadworks (or similar timber detailing/CAD software) is preferred
• Understanding of timber frame construction principles and the ability to translate requirements into manufacturable designs
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with production and stakeholders (including via video call if remote)
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and customer expectations
