We are actively seeking a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst. This role is based in India, Hyderabad. About Rimini Street, India, GCC. We are on a mission to contribute significantly to our “Rimini ONE” program, a turnkey Rimini Street service program that offers a comprehensive set of unified, integrated services that can run, manage, support, customize, configure, connect, protect, monitor, and optimize your Oracle and SAP ERP, database, and technology software. Position Overview Rimini Street is seeking a hands-on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our global data protection program. This role will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and optimizing Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention capabilities across Microsoft 365, endpoint devices, and collaboration platforms to help protect client, employee, financial, legal, and intellectual property data. Working closely with Legal, Information Security, Compliance, IT Operations, HR, and business stakeholders, the DLP Engineer will support enterprise-wide security initiatives focused on data discovery, classification, monitoring, protection, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of business operations and user adoption. Key Responsibilities Microsoft Purview DLP Administration & Engineering · Configure and administer Microsoft Purview DLP policies across: o Exchange Online o SharePoint Online o OneDrive for Business o Microsoft Teams o Endpoint DLP · Implement and maintain policy rules, exceptions, user notifications, overrides, and enforcement actions. · Support the development and maintenance of Sensitive Information Types (SITs), trainable classifiers, and custom detection logic relevant to Rimini Street business processes. · Partner with Information Security and Compliance teams to translate data protection requirements into effective DLP controls. Data Protection & Compliance · Protect sensitive information including: o Customer and support data o Employee information o Financial records o Legal and contractual documents o Intellectual property · Support compliance initiatives involving privacy, regulatory, contractual, and audit requirements. · Assist with investigations involving potential data leakage, data misuse, or policy violations. Endpoint DLP & Device Protection · Deploy and optimize Microsoft Endpoint DLP capabilities. · Configure controls governing: · USB and removable media usage · Printing sensitive information · Web uploads and cloud destinations · Clipboard and copy/paste activities · Remote access scenarios · Work with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Intune administrators to ensure successful onboarding and enforcement. Monitoring, Analytics & Incident Response · Monitor DLP alerts, incidents, and trends across the enterprise. · Analyze and investigate false positives and false negatives. · Recommend and implement tuning adjustments to improve detection accuracy while minimizing business disruption. · Support Security Operations Center (SOC) workflows, alert triage, and escalation processes. · Produce operational metrics and executive reporting on DLP effectiveness and risk reduction. Security Tool Integration & Automation · Integrate DLP alerts and telemetry with: o Security monitoring and reporting platforms · Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Power Automate, and Microsoft security APIs where appropriate. · Create dashboards and reporting solutions that provide visibility into data protection risks and policy compliance. Program Delivery & Continuous Improvement · Support phased deployments, pilots, and adoption initiatives across global business units. · Maintain implementation documentation, operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, and support materials. · Partner with Security Awareness and Training teams to improve employee understanding of data protection responsibilities. · Drive continuous improvements based on operational data, incident trends, audit findings, and stakeholder feedback. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in: o Data Loss Prevention (DLP) o Information Protection o Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance o Cybersecurity Engineering Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP. · Experience with Trellix End · Experience supporting one or more Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, or Endpoint DLP. · Strong understanding of data classification, information governance, and protection technologies. · Experience with: o Sensitive Information Types (SITs) o Sensitivity Labels o Microsoft Defender for Endpoint o Microsoft Intune o PowerShell administration and automation · Experience troubleshooting complex security and compliance issues. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications · Microsoft SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator) certification. · Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel. · Experience implementing DLP in global, highly distributed environments. · Knowledge of privacy and regulatory frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, and similar data protection requirements. · Experience building Power BI security or compliance dashboards. · Experience supporting legal, compliance, eDiscovery, or investigation workflows. · Familiarity with insider risk, information governance, and records management capabilities within Microsoft Purview.
