Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a critical hands-on role in shaping, operating, and continuously improving modern cloud environments and delivery pipelines within a fast-growing, technology-driven business. This is an opportunity to work alongside Cloud Architects, Infrastructure Leaders, Software Engineers, and Security Specialists, helping drive automation, reliability, security, and operational excellence across critical platforms.Duties & Responsibilities What You'll Do • Build, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure across production, staging, and development environments. • Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. • Improve platform performance, scalability, security, and resilience. • Enhance monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability capabilities. • Support backup, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity initiatives. • Champion DevSecOps practices, vulnerability management, patching, and secure platform configurations. • Collaborate closely with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and operational reliability. • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks. • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to infrastructure and developer experience. • Contribute to agile delivery teams and continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Environment You'll work with a modern technology stack that includes: • AWS Cloud (Azure and GCP exposure advantageous) • Terraform • Docker & Kubernetes • Argo CD • GitLab CI, GitHub Actions & Jenkins • Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack & Loki • Ansible, Puppet or Chef • Python, Bash or Ruby • NGINX & Apache • MySQL & PostgreSQL • RabbitMQ • DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, Proxies & Core Networking Technologies What We're Looking For • 7+ years' experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or a related field. • Strong hands-on AWS experience. • Solid Linux administration experience in production environments. • Proven expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation. • Experience designing and supporting secure, compliant environments. • Exposure to PCI-DSS and/or ISO27001 environments will be advantageous. • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, agile delivery, and cloud-native technologies. • Experience within FinTech, technology, or other high-growth environments preferred.
