Join a leading team in Dunedin An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Diesel Technician with a background in forklifts or heavy equipment. What's on offer? • Above-market hourly rates for experienced candidates • Ongoing training and professional development • Clear opportunities for career progression • Supportive, well-organised team environment • Modern workshop facilities and excellent working conditions Key responsibilities • Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of forklifts • Perform diagnostics and electrical fault-finding • Complete minor and major mechanical repairs • Undertake field service work when required • Respond to equipment breakdowns and customer call-outs • Maintain high service standards and build positive customer relationships What we're looking for You will hold a relevant automotive or mechanical trade qualification and have proven experience working on electric, diesel, and/or LPG forklifts. Experience with heavy machinery/construction equipment plant will also be considered. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate: • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities • Confidence completing major repairs independently • Ability to work unsupervised when required • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills • Strong attention to detail and efficiency • A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork • A customer-focused approach to service delivery How to apply Applications from those wanting to relocate from elsewhere within NZ are welcome, as are applications from those based offshore who meet the requirements.
