Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead and oversee cloud operations within a large-scale government environment. The role will focus on ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and operational readiness of cloud platforms and services, while working closely with technical teams, vendors, and government stakeholders.

Mon-Fri Working Location: Central Salary Package: Up to $9800 (basic) + AWS Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day cloud operations and service delivery across government cloud environments.
Oversee the availability, reliability, performance, capacity, and security of cloud infrastructure and platform services. Manage operational activities involving Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and public cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
Establish and maintain cloud operational processes, standards, SOPs, runbooks, and governance controls. Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications, ensuring incidents and service disruptions are identified and resolved within agreed SLAs.
Lead incident, problem, change, and service request management , including major incident coordination and root cause analysis. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve platform stability, operational efficiency, automation, and service quality.
Work closely with engineering, DevOps, application, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to support cloud deployments and production operations. Ensure cloud environments comply with relevant government security policies, governance requirements, and operational standards .
Manage cloud-related risks, vulnerabilities, patching, access controls, configuration compliance, and remediation activities. Oversee cloud resource utilisation, capacity planning, optimisation, and cost management.
