UniData/Universe Data Engineer

We're Hiring: UniData/Universe Data Engineer! We are looking for a highly skilled UniData/Universe Data Engineer with at least 9 years of experience to join our team. Location: Pune, India ⏰ Work Mode: Work from anywhere Role: UniData/Universe Data Engineer Key Responsibilities: • Lead and develop integration solutions between different companies, applications, and business systems. • Design, develop, and maintain integrations using JSON, XML, EDI, APIs, and other data exchange formats. • Work extensively with Universe, UniData, SB+, Pick, and related MultiValue environments. • Develop and maintain Universe/UniData programs, subroutines, and integration processes. • Integrate the e-commerce platform with MLM/commission systems, ensuring accurate transfer of sales, customer, order, payment, and commission-related data. • Develop integrations for commission calculation, commission qualification, sales hierarchy, distributor/member data, orders, and payouts. • Build and maintain interfaces between internal systems and external companies, vendors, payment systems, logistics systems, and business partners. • Analyze existing data flows and identify opportunities to improve integration reliability and performance. • Develop data transformation and mapping logic between Universe/UniData data structures and JSON/XML/EDI formats. • Work with APIs and integration endpoints for real-time or batch data exchange. • Troubleshoot integration failures, data discrepancies, interface issues, and production incidents. • Write SQL/Universe queries and system commands for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting. • Create and maintain technical documentation for interfaces, data mappings, workflows, and integration processes. • Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, QA, infrastructure teams, and external partners. • Support testing, deployment, production implementation, and post-production troubleshooting of integrations. • Ensure data integrity and consistency across the e-commerce, commission, and external systems. Required Technical Skills: • 5+ years of experience in Universe/ UniData/ MultiValue development, with significant experience in system integration and data exchange. • Experience in e-commerce, direct selling, MLM, commission systems, or related domains is preferred. • Strong hands-on experience with Rocket U2 Universe / UniData or similar MultiValue databases. • Experience with Pick / MultiValue environments. • Strong experience in Universe BASIC / UniBasic programming. • Experience with SB+ / SB+ applications. • Experience with IRIS BASIC is an added advantage. • Strong understanding of JSON and XML data formats. • Hands-on experience with EDI and B2B integrations. • Experience working with REST APIs / web services. • Experience with data transformation, mapping, validation, and interface processing. • Strong understanding of data flow between multiple applications and companies. • Experience writing programs, subroutines, test wrappers, SELECT queries, and system commands in a MultiValue environment. • Good understanding of batch processing and production support. • E-Commerce / MLM Domain Experience • Experience working with e-commerce platforms and order management systems. • Understanding of MLM / direct-selling / commission-based business models. • Experience integrating sales, customer, order, distributor/member, payment, and commission data. • Understanding of commission calculation and payout processes. • Experience working with distributor/member hierarchies, qualification rules, sales volume, bonuses, or incentive structures is highly desirable. • Experience integrating e-commerce systems with commission engines or direct-sales systems is a strong plus.
