Equity Research Analyst Finance / Banking Sector Location: Mumbai About the Role: We are seeking an Equity Research Analyst with experience covering the Finance and Banking sector as part of the research team at a leading Asset Management Company (AMC) . The role involves conducting fundamental research, financial analysis, and generating investment recommendations to support portfolio decisions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the financial services ecosystem, including banks, NBFCs, housing finance companies, insurance companies, asset management companies, and other financial institutions , along with the ability to identify emerging investment opportunities and sector trends. Key Responsibilities: - Track and analyse listed companies in the Finance and Banking sector. - Build and maintain financial and valuation models. - Prepare research reports, earnings updates, and investment notes. - Monitor industry trends, company developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector. - Interact with company management teams, industry experts, and channel participants. - Present investment ideas and recommendations to the investment team. - Support portfolio managers with timely insights and sector updates. Qualifications and Experience: - MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification. - Minimum 3 years of equity research experience covering the Finance and Banking sector within an AMC research team. - Strong financial modelling, valuation, and fundamental research skills . - Sound understanding of the Indian financial services sector and key market drivers. - Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
