Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
You will own the end-to-end delivery of new payment products, specifically focusing on UPI and alternative digital payment methods.
1) Product Incubation: Ideate and conceptualize new payment features from scratch, including UPI Autopay, Credit on UPI, and multi-bank settlement engines.
2) Hands-on Development: This is a "maker" role. You will personally draft detailed PRDs, create wireframes, map out API sequences, and define logic for edge-case handlings.
3) Technical Ownership: Work deeply with engineering teams to oversee the architecture, ensuring high success rates and low latency for millions of concurrent transactions.
4) Regulatory Alignment: Stay ahead of NPCI, RBI, and international regulatory shifts to ensure our UPI stack is both innovative and compliant.
5) Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as the central nervous system between Engineering, Sales, Risk, and Compliance to move the product from alpha testing to a full-scale commercial launch.
Requirements:
1) Direct Build Experience: You must have a track record of launching at least one major fintech product from scratch. You should be able to describe the "v1.0" hurdles you personally cleared.
2) Payment Domain Mastery: 3-6 years in Product Management with deep expertise in the Indian Payment Ecosystem (UPI stack, IMPS, BBPS) and digital wallets.
3) Technical Literacy: You are comfortable reading API documentation, understanding database schemas, and discussing system architecture with senior engineers.
4) Data-Driven Mindset: Proven ability to use SQL, Mixpanel, or similar tools to analyze transaction funnels and identify drop-off points.
5) Entrepreneurial Grit: You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable taking "extreme ownership" of a product's success or failure.
