Job Description

Our client is a listed ASX business that acts as an investment management business and grows both organically and through acquisition. They provide succession solutions for vendors, while preserving the local reputation, service quality and community focus of the businesses that join their group. Their decentralised model supports local teams to keep running their businesses well, with engaged and responsive management support. This role will take ownership of the finance function for several trading entities across the group alongside a team of 4, providing accurate reporting, practical financial insight and hands-on business partnering support to Branch Managers. It will suit a proactive, hands-on finance professional who takes ownership, communicates well with people at all levels, and enjoys partnering with non-finance stakeholders to make things happen. What you'll do • Own the finance function for several entities across the group • Complete month-end journals, reconciliations and reporting • Prepare management accounts and dashboards • Manage accounts payable, receivable and collections • Prepare GST and FBT returns • Complete cash flow reporting and bank reconciliations • Review weekly payroll across assigned entities • Support employment-related compliance from a finance perspective • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts • Review fixed asset schedules, monitor capex budgets and support related asset reporting • Meet monthly with Branch Managers to review performance, provide financial insight and support decision-making • Support audits, acquisitions and process improvement What you'll bring • CA / CPA qualified or in-process • Experience within a similar role • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels, including non-finance stakeholders. • Continuous improvement mindset and practical approach to process improvement. • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems, processes and responsibilities. • Advanced Excel; Xero experience an advantage Beyond the technical skill set, we're looking for someone who builds strong relationships and communicates with confidence at every level of the business.
