Quality Assurance Engineer - Cypress

Role Overview : We are looking for a seasoned QA Engineer to join our engineering team in Hyderabad, focusing on elevating our automation maturity. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust end-to-end testing frameworks that ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software. You will work closely with cross-functional product teams, developers, and stakeholders to bridge the gap between feature development and production stability. By championing a quality-first mindset and automating complex user journeys, you will directly influence the reliability of our platform and enhance the overall experience for our end users. Key Responsibilities : - Architect and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript to accelerate our release cycles and reduce manual regression efforts. - Collaborate with software engineers during the design phase to identify potential edge cases and ensure testability is baked into every feature. - Execute comprehensive test suites across diverse environments to identify bottlenecks and ensure consistent performance for our global user base. - Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and code quality standards to foster a culture of technical excellence. - Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring that critical defects are addressed before they reach production. Required Skillset : - Demonstrated expertise in building end-to-end automation solutions using Cypress, with a strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript for scripting complex test scenarios. - Proven ability to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid feedback loops within an agile development environment. - Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex application issues and communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders. - Exceptional collaborative abilities, with a track record of working effectively in hybrid team structures based in Hyderabad. - A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and automation.
