Key responsibilities include: drafting/prosecuting applications, portfolio management, opinion/opposition/disputes work and liaising with commercial advisors/lawyers. WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you: • have a minimum of 6 months' [or more] post-qualification experience as a registered Australian/NZ patent attorney [OR trainee patent attorney with minimum 18 months' experience OR are an overseas qualified patent attorney currently nearing qualification in Australia/NZ]; • have a degree or higher qualification in ENGINEERING [biomedical, electrical, mechanical aeronautical, telecommunications and/or computer engineering]OR SCIENCE [Chemistry, Physics, Geophysics, Biology] OR IT/COMPUTER SCIENCE; • have hands-on experience in prosecuting/drafting mechanical patents [essential] and some opposition experience [desirable]; • have strong drafting, technical, analytical + communication/people skills + strong commercial acumen; • are ambitious+ serious about carving out a LONG-TERM successful career with a vibrant successful non-traditional firm that is committed to helping you to reach your full potential.
