Department Overview The Motorola Solutions International Mobile Applications team creates mission-critical software solutions for emergency first responders across public safety agencies worldwide.
Used by hundreds of thousands of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics every day, our applications directly enhance emergency service responses when every second counts. This role focuses on our software suite supporting UK Fire agencies.
You will join a high-performing, distributed engineering squad of ~7 developers responsible for building sophisticated client, server, web, and database solutions.
Job Description
This is a fully remote role based anywhere in the United Kingdom. While you will work from home daily, you will be fully integrated into our collaborative engineering culture with optional access to our Centre of Excellence in Glasgow for occasional team gatherings.
What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain high-performing, fault-tolerant full-stack software applications for emergency services. Write scalable, maintainable code using general-purpose languages such as C# or Java, alongside modern web frameworks.
Collaborate asynchronously and synchronously with cross-functional Agile team members (Product, QA, Architecture). Drive system architecture improvements to guarantee zero-downtime reliability for emergency responders.
Basic Requirements Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 5+
