CFO/Financial Controller (Managed Funds/Investments)

YOUR ROLE
Partnering with the CEO+ Board of this highly impressive prominent locally bred Australian financial services company, leading a team of 2 high calibre professionals and liaising with various external stakeholders, you will enjoy your diverse 'full-spectrum' role-being responsible for:
• 'hands-on' overall day to day financial/systems management of various corporate entities and registered managed funds;
• ensuring corporate governance, risk management , statutory/legal compliance ;
• financial analysis, reporting/advising, devising and implementing strategic business initiatives to grow the business+ participate in executive decision-making ;
• driving ongoing systems/process improvements .

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:
• Have an accounting/business/commerce degree + are fully CA qualified [essential] preferably with a big-4/mid-tier CA firm background;
• have a minimum of 5+ years accounting experience within the financial services sector specifically with exposure to funds management ;
• have an understanding of ASIC's requirements relating to holding a financial services licence and funds management;
• possess strong commercial acumen, technical/analytical ability and can effectively translate and apply the numbers to the business context;
• desire a hands-on accounting role engaging in a full-spectrum of day-to-day 'business as usual' tasks+some strategic business partnering+leading a small competent team.
• have PROVEN success in a strategic/commercial 'business partnering' senior finance role where you have delivered higher revenue/profits, driven positive change and added-value;
• have outstanding communication, interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills;
• can commit to working 4 days/week long-term [essential].
