About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager / Associate Director - Public Relations with 7-10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or journalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Indian media landscape, established journalist relationships, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently lead client mandates and deliver high-impact media outcomes. The role combines strategic thinking, client management, media expertise, and hands-on execution, with responsibility for leading accounts, developing communication strategies, identifying visibility opportunities, mentoring team members, and contributing to the growth of the PR practice. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and independently manage PR and strategic communications mandates across legal, corporate, consulting, and professional services sectors. - Develop and execute PR and media strategies aligned with clients' business objectives, positioning, and reputation goals. - Build and maintain strong relationships with senior journalists, editors, and media professionals across business, legal, corporate, mainstream, and digital media. - Identify and pursue high-value media opportunities including interviews, profiles, commentary, opinion pieces, features, podcasts, and thought leadership. - Draft and review press releases, media pitches, opinion articles, briefing documents, talking points, Q&As, executive profiles, and other communication materials. - Advise clients on reputation management, issues management, and crisis communications, as required. - Mentor junior team members and contribute to new business pitches, proposals, campaign ideas, and business development initiatives. Qualifications & Skills: - Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, English, or a related field. - 7-10 years of relevant experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations, journalism, or strategic communications. - Prior experience with a PR agency, communications consultancy, corporate communications team, or media organization is preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editorial judgment. - Ability to independently manage multiple accounts, teams, priorities, and deadlines. - Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
