About the Role Are you a detail‑driven Financial Accountant who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and loves turning numbers into insights? The BUSY Group is seeking a motivated finance professional to support our financial reporting, analysis and compliance activities — helping us deliver on our purpose of making skills, education and employment accessible to every person. In this newly created role, you’ll support BUSY Group’s ongoing growth with financial reporting, month‑end processes and analysis that helps our teams make informed decisions. You’ll work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and contribute to accurate reporting, compliance and continuous improvement across the finance function. Key responsibilities include: • Month‑end processing — general ledger reconciliations, control account reviews and revenue journals • Management reporting — preparing monthly reports, variance analysis and financial insights • Financial compliance — BAS preparation, audit support and statutory returns • Fixed asset management — depreciation, disposals and maintaining the fixed asset register • Intercompany accounting — reconciliations and accurate allocations across entities • Process improvement — contributing to efficiency and accuracy within the finance team • Stakeholder support If you enjoy balancing technical accounting with meaningful business support, this role offers the perfect blend. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who brings: • 3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or similar • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting • Experience with financial systems (NetSuite highly regarded) • Advanced Excel capability • Strong analytical and numerical skills • Excellent attention to detail and time management • Relevant finance or business qualification • Blue Card, National Police Check and open driver’s licence Next steps...
