Head Intelligent & Connected Product Technologies Location : Pune Experience : 15-20 years Function : Product R&D / Technology A leading engineering organisation is looking for a senior technology leader to develop AI-enabled and connected physical products. This role is focused on embedding AI/ML into products and equipment. It is not related to manufacturing analytics, factory digitalisation or business-process automation. Key Responsibilities : - Define the roadmap for AI-enabled smart and connected products. - Identify AI/ML applications for energy optimisation, intelligent control, fault detection and predictive maintenance. - Lead the integration of AI models with sensors, controllers, firmware, edge platforms and cloud systems. - Take AI-enabled product features from concept and POC to commercial deployment. - Guide embedded software, IoT connectivity, device-to-cloud and MLOps architecture. - Evaluate processors, AI accelerators, embedded platforms and technology partners. - Build and lead teams across AI/ML, embedded systems, firmware and connected-product engineering. Candidate Profile : - 15-20 years of experience in product engineering, embedded systems, electronics, IoT or connected devices. - Proven experience embedding AI/ML into a physical product. - Experience launching at least one AI-enabled product or feature commercially. - Strong understanding of embedded software, firmware, sensors, edge computing and device architecture. - Exposure to RTOS or Embedded Linux and protocols such as MQTT, BLE and Wi-Fi. - Experience leading multidisciplinary product-development teams. Preferred Industry Background : Smart HVAC, appliances, building automation, smart meters, automotive electronics, medical devices, consumer electronics or IoT-enabled products. Education : B.Tech/B.E Electronics/related Application Requirements : - Applicants should mention the physical product developed, AI-enabled functionality, embedded platform used and commercial deployment status. - Profiles limited to manufacturing analytics, enterprise AI, dashboards or digital transformation may not be suitable.
