Job Title: Commercial Account Handler Location: London Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Business An established, independent London-based insurance brokerage is looking to expand its team with an experienced Insurance Practitioner. The business works across a diverse range of clients and insurance classes, including event organisers, commercial and residential property owners, as well as Personal Lines clients. The Role The successful candidate will be an experienced insurance professional with strong technical knowledge and a detailed understanding of Commercial Insurance. Reporting directly to senior management, the role will suit someone who is organised, dedicated and confident dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Manage the administration of the company's renewal system and oversee the successful renewal of key client portfolios. • Monitor renewal retention levels and provide updates to senior management. • Supervise the timely and accurate production and issuing of insurance documentation. • Manage Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs) for key clients and provide technical support to colleagues where required. • Deal with client, insurer and internal correspondence, ensuring all relevant information is obtained, communicated and accurately documented. • Provide technical support and insurance advice to clients alongside senior management. • Act as a technical referral point for other members of the team. • Handle client claims and escalate more complex matters where appropriate. • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company procedures and relevant FCA, ICO and GDPR requirements. Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will have: • Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance , ideally gained within a commercial insurance broker or insurer. • Understanding and experience of Personal Lines Insurance . • Previous experience managing renewals, MTAs and client queries. • Strong technical insurance knowledge with the ability to provide guidance to colleagues and clients. • Open GI experience would be advantageous. • Good working knowledge o f Microsoft Office. • Confidence in learning and using internal insurance systems. • The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
