Genzeon - OMS QA Engineer

Job Title : OMS QA Engineer (Automation) Experience : 3 - 5 Years Location : Hyderabad / Pune Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced OMS QA Engineer (Automation) with 3 - 5 years of experience in software testing and strong hands-on expertise in IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling OMS). The ideal candidate should have experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of Sterling OMS applications, along with exposure to API testing, Java-based extensions, Oracle, middleware integrations, microservices, and Kafka. Experience with the Sterling OMS Selling Cloud version is preferred. IBM Sterling Order Management certification will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities : - Participate in the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) for IBM Sterling OMS implementations and enhancements. - Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and automation scripts. - Validate Sterling OMS configurations, customizations, extensions, and integrations. - Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across key Order Management workflows, including : 1. Order capture 2. Order fulfillment 3. Inventory management 4. Shipment 5. Returns 6. Order lifecycle management - Support testing for patches, upgrades, configuration changes, and new releases. - Review business and technical requirements and identify comprehensive test scenarios and edge cases. - Collaborate closely with OMS developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality across releases. - Test Java-based Sterling OMS extensions and integrations involving Java/J2EE, Oracle, and middleware technologies. - Perform integration testing between Sterling OMS and enterprise applications and validate build/deployment changes. - Execute REST API testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI. - Validate microservices-based integrations and service-to-service communication. - Perform Kafka message/event validation as part of integration and end-to-end testing. - Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA and work closely with developers through resolution and retesting. - Participate in defect triage, root-cause discussions, and release readiness activities. - Maintain clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect documentation. - Contribute to improving test automation, testing efficiency, and overall QA processes. - Explore and apply AI-driven testing approaches and tools to accelerate test case generation, automation, and defect identification. Must-Have Skills : - 3 - 5 years of experience in QA / Software Testing, with strong exposure to IBM Sterling OMS. - Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management. - Strong understanding of STLC and software testing methodologies. - Experience in : 1. Functional Testing 2. Regression Testing 3. Integration Testing 4. End-to-End Testing 5. Configuration Testing 6. Upgrade/Patch Validation - Experience testing Sterling OMS configurations, customizations, and extensions. - Good understanding of Java/J2EE-based applications and extensions. - Experience with Oracle databases and middleware-based integrations. - Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools. - Working knowledge of microservices architecture. - Exposure to Kafka-based messaging and event validation. - Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and management. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Good to Have : - Experience with IBM Sterling OMS Selling Cloud. - IBM Sterling Order Management certification. - Experience with IBM Sterling Call Center. - Exposure to OMS build and deployment validation. - Experience with automated testing frameworks/tools. - Understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices. - Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and approaches, including : 1. AI-based test case generation 2. Test automation acceleration 3. Intelligent test execution 4.
