Senior DevOps Solutions Architect – Platform Engineering Location Remote / Hybrid – Blue Bell, PA Position Overview We're seeking a Senior DevOps Solutions Architect who excels at the intersection of platform engineering, customer engagement, and technical sales . This role will be responsible for hands-on DevOps engineering for the Company platform, requiring someone who can build resilient cloud infrastructure. You'll be responsible for the production and ongoing maintenance of various parts of the Company platform while also serving as a technical advisor in the sales process. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and a proactive, collaborative approach when working with diverse teams from junior engineers to executives. Key Responsibilities Platform Engineering & DevOps (Primary Function) Cloud Infrastructure • Design, implement, maintain, and monitor highly available and secure AWS cloud infrastructure • Optimize costs while ensuring performance and reliability across all platform components • Manage complex multi-tenant SaaS environments with focus on scalability and security CI/CD & Automation • Build and maintain automated pipelines for building, testing, deploying, and reporting across various products • Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt • Create and maintain Docker containerization strategies for platform services Customer Onboarding & Operations • Provision customer environments and assist with storage and SSO configuration • Support SAML and OIDC integration with customer identity providers • Manage customer-specific infrastructure requirements and customizations Security & Compliance • Implement security best practices including patching, infrastructure hardening, and code scanning • Coordinate penetration testing efforts and remediate identified vulnerabilities • Ensure platform meets SOC2 compliance requirements Technical Sales Support (Secondary Function) • Assist sales teams with technical reviews, proof of concepts (POCs), and solution scoping • Present technical architecture solutions to prospects during sales cycles • Lead technical discovery sessions and validate customer requirements • Create technical documentation and proposals for complex customer scenarios • Serve as technical subject matter expert during customer workshops and demonstrations Process Management & Collaboration • Establish and maintain Agile workflows in Jira, including code reviews and release processes • Conduct performance and load testing with appropriate infrastructure provisioning • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, executives, and administrative staff • Manage vendor relationships and assist with technology selection decisions Required Technical Experience Core AWS Expertise (7+ years) • Primary Cloud Services : S3, Cognito, Fargate ECS, EC2, EBS, Route 53, Elasticsearch, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, ELB, WAF, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, SES, SSM, Control Tower • Infrastructure as Code : Advanced Terraform and Terragrunt experience • Containerization : Docker implementation and management • Operating Systems : Hardened Linux , Alpine, and Ubuntu administration DevOps & Automation • CI/CD Pipelines : Experience with automated build, test, and deployment processes • Monitoring & Observability : Grafana, NewRelic for log aggregation, monitoring, and alerting • Scripting : Advanced Bash scripting for automation and customer onboarding • Image Management : Packer for EC2 AMI provisioning and AWS Marketplace submissions Bonus Qualifications Additional Cloud & Tools Experience • Microsoft Azure : Active Directory, virtual machines, blob storage, M365 • Multi-Cloud Storage : AWS, Azure, GCP, MinIO, Linode experience • Development Tools : CircleCI, Atlassian suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) • Automation : Ansible for Windows provisioning and automation • Networking : WireGuard/Subspace VPN connectivity solutions Development & Integration Experience • Programming Languages : NodeJS (web tier and Lambda), Go (business logic) • Backup Integration : Veeam backup service integration experience • Enterprise Integration : Experience with enterprise software integrations and APIs What You Bring • 7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Solutions Architecture roles • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams • Proactive mindset with friendly disposition and customer service orientation • Security-first approach to infrastructure and application deployment • Experience with enterprise sales cycles and technical validation processes
