Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Vice President & Head to build and lead a global battery engineering organisation across Cell, Pack, BMS, Systems, and Validation. The role will own the end-to-end battery technology roadmap and lead battery product development for electric vehicle applications. Key Responsibilities: - Build, lead, and scale a global battery engineering organisation across Cell, Pack, BMS, Systems, and Validation. - Own the end-to-end battery technology and product roadmap, aligned with business and vehicle programme requirements. - Lead cell selection, pack architecture and design, BMS development, thermal management, safety architecture, and system integration. - Drive end-to-end battery product development from technology definition and architecture through validation and production readiness. - Establish engineering standards, processes, and technical governance across battery development. - Lead cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and other stakeholders. - Drive innovation, technology evaluation, product performance, safety, reliability, and cost optimisation across battery systems. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams and senior technical leaders. Required Experience: - 15-24 years of overall experience in battery engineering, EV systems, automotive engineering, or related domains. - Significant leadership experience managing large-scale battery engineering or EV technology teams. - Strong hands-on expertise across Cell, Battery Pack, BMS, Thermal Management, Battery Systems, and Validation. - Proven experience owning battery technology roadmaps and leading end-to-end battery product development. - Strong understanding of battery safety, system architecture, validation, and automotive product development. Education: - B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics & Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Relevant advanced qualifications in battery technology, automotive engineering, or related fields would be advantageous.
