Job Description

Role overview: The Head of Finance will own the entire finance function and act as the founder's right hand on all financial and governance matters. This is a forward-looking mandate rather than a caretaker role: the core business is already performing, and the appointee's value will be measured by how effectively capital is deployed to build the next phase of the company. The role carries a broad remit spanning FP&A, business finance and partnering, controllership, regulatory compliance and treasury, with legal and procurement also reporting into the position. The Head of Finance will be a central voice in investor and board conversations, will build the systems and reporting discipline required of a company approaching public-market readiness, and will provide the financial architecture for new categories, retail expansion, owned manufacturing and international entry. The appointee will lead a team of 1415, including 45 direct reports. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Finance & Capital Allocation: - Partner with the founders on capital allocation decisions across the core business, emerging categories, retail expansion and international entry. - Build the financial framework and business cases that determine where growth capital is deployed and at what pace. 2. Investor & Board Engagement: - Serve as a primary point of contact for existing and prospective investors across the PE and VC ecosystem. - Prepare board materials, investor reporting and diligence responses to institutional standard. - Support fundraising processes end to end, including data room preparation, diligence management and negotiation support. 3. FP&A, Business Finance & Partnering: - Own annual planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial modelling. - Partner with brand, business and category leaders to sharpen unit economics, contribution margins and cohort performance. - Establish the P&L framework and performance metrics for new categories and the expanding retail network. - Provide the founders and leadership team with decision-ready analysis on pricing, channel mix and marketing efficiency. 4. Controllership, Compliance & Governance: - Own statutory reporting, audit, taxation, treasury and all regulatory and compliance obligations. - Strengthen internal controls and governance in preparation for public-market readiness. 5. Systems, Automation & Reporting Discipline: - Upgrade finance systems and drive automation across reporting, reconciliation and close processes. - Institutionalise a disciplined monthly close, with MIS available on the first working day of each month.
