Details designs from first principles as well as improvements on existing Product ranges. Qualification and Key Skills Required: • BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum of 7 years of design experience • Ability to plan and execute project plans • Ability to guide and mentor other engineers • Innovative and self-driven • Hands-on approach to problem solving • Readily able to adjust to changing priorities • Objective-oriented, setting goals and meeting deadlines Responsibilities • 3D CAD models, designs, and presentations to clients. • Preparation of manufacturing and supplier part drawings • Conduct concept and design reviews • Manage and support the day-to-day design activities • Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements. • Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing. • Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes. • Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes.
