Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Financial Services

We are partnering with a leading ASX listed financial services organisation to recruit an experienced FP&A Manager from a financial services background. This is a senior commercial finance opportunity for an experienced candidate from an FP&A or Finance Business partnering background who can combine strong technical capability with commercial insight and stakeholder influence. The role will partner closely with senior finance and business leaders, providing analysis and advice to support performance and strategic decision-making across a significant portfolio. The Opportunity Sitting within a high-performing finance function, you will take ownership of key elements of portfolio performance, including revenue reporting and analysis, expense management, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. You’ll work across a broad stakeholder group and play an important role in translating complex financial information into clear, commercially focused insights for senior leadership. Key responsibilities include: • Partnering with senior business and finance stakeholders to provide commercial advice and decision support • Delivering accurate and timely revenue, expense and portfolio performance reporting • Providing insights into P&L performance, key drivers, risks and opportunities • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning cycles • Preparing analysis and commentary for executive, senior management and Board-level reporting • Identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and overall financial performance • Reviewing expense allocation methodologies and assessing their commercial impacts • Working cross-functionally with teams across strategy, pricing, operations, marketing, digital and other specialist functions • Supporting strategic initiatives and broader finance change programs • Driving continuous improvement across reporting, analysis and finance processes • Coaching and mentoring team members About You We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with a background in large and complex financial services environments. Experience: • Significant experience at Manager or Senior Manager level within financial services • Strong commercial finance, FP&A, management reporting and business partnering capability • Experience working across both operational and strategic finance matters • Strong P&L, revenue, expense and cost management experience • Excellent analytical capability and commercial judgement • Proven experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders • The ability to simplify complex financial information and communicate the key commercial story • Experience driving change, process improvement and better ways of working • Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills • Experience coaching or mentoring within a finance environment • CA or CPA qualification
