DevOps Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements: • Active SC Clearance (mandatory) • Strong commercial experience delivering DevOps solutions within AWS environments • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda and ECS/EKS • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI • Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience in production environments • Scripting skills using Python and/or Bash • Solid understanding of Git version control • Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary teams • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Responsibilities: • Design, implement and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform • Build secure, highly available and scalable cloud environments • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and operational processes • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting efficient software delivery • Improve monitoring, logging and observability capabilities • Deploy and manage Docker and Kubernetes-based workloads • Support cloud platforms across production and non-production environments • Investigate and resolve infrastructure, deployment and platform issues • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver robust cloud-native solutions • Champion DevOps principles, automation and continuous improvement Technologies: • AWS • Lambda • Bash • CI/CD • Cloud • DevOps • Docker • EC2 • Git • GitHub • GitLab • IAM • Support • Jenkins • Kubernetes • Python • Terraform • Security More: We are Amber Labs, a leading UK and European technology consultancy delivering secure, user-centred digital services across government and public sector organisations.
