This is a remote position. Job Title Salesforce Technical Architect – DevOps Experience 10–15+ Years Employment Type Contract Role Remote Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Salesforce Technical Architect with strong expertise in Salesforce DevOps to lead enterprise-scale Salesforce delivery and release management. The ideal candidate must have deep hands-on experience designing scalable Salesforce architecture, implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing multi-org environments, and driving DevOps best practices using tools such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub/GitLab, and Jenkins. The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, QA, and release teams to ensure secure, automated, and high-quality Salesforce deployments. Mandatory Skills • Salesforce Technical Architecture • Salesforce DevOps (Mandatory) • CI/CD Pipeline Implementation • Copado / Gearset / AutoRABIT (at least one mandatory) • Azure DevOps or Jenkins • Git, GitHub/GitLab, Bitbucket • Salesforce DX (SFDX) • Apex, LWC, Visualforce • Experience Cloud • Integration Architecture (REST/SOAP, Platform Events) • Release & Environment Management • Agile / Scrum methodology Key Responsibilities Salesforce Architecture • Design scalable and secure Salesforce architecture across multiple orgs. • Define technical standards, governance, and coding best practices. • Review solution designs and provide architectural guidance. • Ensure platform scalability, performance, and maintainability. DevOps & CI/CD (Primary Responsibility) • Design and implement end-to-end Salesforce CI/CD pipelines. • Automate deployments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. • Manage branching strategies using Git (GitFlow/Trunk-based). • Configure deployment validation, automated testing, and rollback strategies. • Implement version control and release governance. • Build reusable deployment templates and automation scripts. • Ensure zero-downtime deployment practices wherever applicable. Environment & Release Management • Manage multiple Salesforce sandboxes and production environments. • Coordinate release planning and deployment schedules. • Resolve deployment conflicts and metadata dependencies. • Perform impact analysis for releases and hotfixes. Technical Leadership • Mentor Salesforce developers and DevOps engineers. • Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for enterprise integrations. • Drive DevSecOps and quality engineering practices. Required Technical Skills Category Skills Salesforce Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce DevOps Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT Version Control Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket CI/CD Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions Salesforce DX SFDX CLI, Scratch Orgs, Packaging Integration REST, SOAP, OAuth, Platform Events Testing Apex Test Classes, Automation, Static Code Analysis Methodology Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps Mandatory Qualifications • 14+ years of overall IT experience. • 6+ years in Salesforce Architecture. • 4+ years of Salesforce DevOps implementation experience. • Hands-on experience with Copado, Gearset, or AutoRABIT. • Strong experience with Azure DevOps/Jenkins and Git. • Expertise in Salesforce DX and metadata deployment. • Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills. Preferred Certifications • Salesforce Certified Application Architect • Salesforce Certified System Architect • Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle & Deployment Architect (Preferred) • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II • Copado Fundamentals / Copado DevOps Certification (Preferred) Nice to Have • Experience with Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, or CPQ. • Kubernetes/Docker exposure for enterprise DevOps. • SonarQube, PMD, or static code analysis implementation. • Infrastructure as Code concepts.
