Job Description
Our client, a global financial markets technology firm, is looking for a Senior Trading Platform Support Engineer to support mission-critical trading and market data platforms serving global financial markets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting exchange, trading, market data, or capital markets platforms in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide production support for trading and market data platforms, ensuring high system availability and performance. Act as the senior escalation point for production incidents, troubleshooting complex technical and trading-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and work closely with engineering teams to implement permanent fixes. Support platform enhancements, configuration changes, testing, and production releases. Monitor production environments, databases, batch jobs, and platform health to ensure smooth operations.
Analyse system and market data using SQL, UNIX/Linux, and internal monitoring tools. Support client onboarding, API connectivity, access provisioning, and platform configuration. Collaborate with global technology, operations, and business teams across multiple regions.
Requirements
At least 7 years of experience supporting trading systems, exchange technology, market data, or capital markets platforms . Strong knowledge of equities, options, futures, or financial market data . Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux, SQL , and production support in a 24/7 environment.
Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms . Experience with scripting (Python preferred) is an advantage. Excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
