Job Description
• CBD location | 2 days WFH
• 12-month contract with view to permanent
• $75,000 - $80,000 + super
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a successful and growing organisation seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their collaborative finance team. Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance function across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
Offering a 12-month contract with a strong view to permanency, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on finance role, values accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
• Assist with the preparation of customer invoices and statements
• Daily receipting and allocation of customer payments
• Create customer invoices within the accounting system
• Maintain debtor ledgers and customer account records
• Assist with customer account queries and reconciliations
Accounts Payable
• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
• Issue supplier payment remittances
• Reconcile creditor accounts and supplier statements
• Reconcile company bank accounts and credit cards
• Respond to payment-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Additional Responsibilities
• Complete daily bank reconciliations
• Support finance administration and record management
• Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and compliance requirements
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across the business
About You
• 3+ years' experience within an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or similar position
• Strong exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within a medium or large-sized organisation
• Strong computer literacy, including Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• High attention to detail and strong financial accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, organised and collaborative approach to work
