Job Description
Job Summary: The Project Sales and Service Engineer is responsible for driving business development and sales growth while providing technical and support to clients.
This role combines engineering knowledge with commercial acumen, covering the identification of new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from enquiry to delivery, supporting project bids and tenders, and ensuring clients receive competent technical service throughout the project and equipment lifecycle.
The role is expected to actively contribute to the Company's revenue and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
1.Business Development & Sales
• Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned market segment or territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, principals, consultants, EPC contractors, and end-users.
• Achieve sales targets through proactive client engagement and account management.
• Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and product/solution demonstrations.
• Gather market and competitor intelligence to inform pricing, positioning, and sales strategy.
• Coordinate with clients and principals to ensure timely delivery, invoicing of orders, and payment collection. 2.Technical & Engineering Support
• Understand client technical requirements and translate them into appropriate product or system solutions.
• Provide after-sales technical support, including site visits, installation assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance coordination.
• Keep abreast and remain knowledgeable of application technical standards and codes for project execution, such as Petronas Technical Standards, Shell’s DEPs, API674 and other related API Codes, ASME, ANSI and NACE codes, as assigned from time to time.
• Liaise with principals/OEMs on technical queries, product updates, specifications, and training.
• Support commissioning and handover activities for projects and equipment supplied.
