Security Engineer (Contract)

Our client is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join a growing cybersecurity team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise security technologies that protect critical infrastructure and business applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on security professional with strong technical expertise across endpoint, network, identity, and cloud security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support enterprise security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Administer and optimize security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, DLP, PAM, IAM, WAF, and IDS/IPS.

Plan, deploy, and transition security solutions into production while ensuring minimal operational risk and service disruption. Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot security incidents, system alerts, and complex technical issues across enterprise environments.

Perform security assessments, recommend remediation measures, and drive continuous improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture. Develop and maintain security automation, scripts, and operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and operations teams to implement security best practices throughout the technology lifecycle. Support security governance, compliance, and audit requirements while ensuring security controls remain effective and up to date.

Participate in security projects, technology evaluations, and operational initiatives to enhance enterprise cybersecurity capabilities.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering or a related cybersecurity role.
