Job Description
Job Summary
The event manager will report directly to the General Manager Marketing EMEA and will be
responsible to drive the organization and planning of EMEA-wise events, congresses and
fairs in accordance with budget, from the pre-to-post event activities. This role will be key to
implement and roll out the Global company strategy engaging with health care professionals and helping achieving business objectives. This person will have exposure to commercial organizations
all over EMEA and partners, collaborating frequently with functional leadership, marketing and sales senior managers. The event manager will become the provider of regional guidance for consistent representation in events within EMEA and in the local commercial organization in execution of Global Strategy and guidance, driving consistency in the way PENTAX Medical will be presented overall in EMEA and ensuring proper KPIs are established and monitored.
Key Responsibilities
• Organization, planning and execution of international events taking place in the EMEA region, congresses and trade fairs on-site and on-line (e.g. webinars)
• Development of EMEA-wide event concepts and activities in accordance with targets and
Global campaigns in close cooperation with the EMEA Marcom department, Product
Marketing Team and Global MarCom & GPM.
• Coordination and execution of pre- and post-event activities for events organized in the EMEA region, including internal and external communication
• Ensure successful delivery of all event-related activities from planning through post-event evaluation.
• Manage effective relationships with external vendors, agencies, venues, and event service providers.
• Analyze and evaluate events effectiveness and reach, based on pre-defined KPIs and
budgets, drive proper leads collection and monitoring
Coordination of the EMEA Marketing budget, forecasting, close monitoring and quarterly
Reporting
• Marketing compliance coordination (Event related)
• Serve as the regional branding ambassador for events in EMEA driving consistent application of the global brand identity across all communication aspects during events. Oversee brand management efforts in alignment with global guidelines, and monitor execution at local level during fairs, congresses and webinars organized by the local organization to maintain brand integrity and support effective implementation
• Closely work with the downstream EMEA commercial organization and EMEA local event managers to provide guidance for event management, booth design, leads collection and follow-up, and for local booths layout
Qualifications
Education :
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Skills
• Proven ability to organize and execute international events involving cross-functional stakeholders.
• Highly skilled in project management and experienced in managing international events and complex projects
• Demonstrate communication skills across all levels of the organization in dealing with
• a wide range of stakeholders
• Customer-first thinker, ensuring we deliver value to internal and external partner
• Excellent and proven project management and agency leadership are mandatory, strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and creativity
• High degree of initiative, enjoy teamwork, reliability and a great sense of responsibility and a hands-on mentality
• MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Outlook on expert level
• Fluent in English and German
• Positive attitude, dynamic and flexible. Ability to handle high peak workload and under complex and stringent deadlines
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
• Independent, structured working style and high self-motivation
Preferred experience
• Min 5 years proven experience as an International Event Manager or Event Coordinator in a similar position within healthcare technology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other complex solutions and services industries.
• Experience working effectively with international and cross-functional teams in a remote and matrix organization.
• Willingness to travel throughout the EMEA region for multi-day business trips and event support activities.
