The Lockwood Group is recruiting for a talented full-time Account Executive to join the sales team to support lead generation and business development. This role will be UK-based at the Random42 offices in Marylebone, London, and will report directly to the Market Insights Director. About Random42 and The Lockwood Group Lockwood consists of multiple agencies specializing in medical communications and market access. With a keen focus on science, we go beyond simply understanding data around therapeutic advances to uncover the insights that inform compelling stories. Lockwood provides core services for Medical Affairs, Commercial, Publications and Market Access Clients. Random42 is an affiliate of The Lockwood Group and is the premier medical animation agency working to effortlessly intertwine the worlds of science, art, and technology, producing some of the most impactful scientific imagery, stories, and interactive experiences. About the Role The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong initiative, and the ability to assimilate knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and medical communications. We work with the world's leading healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, so a passion for science and a strong academic background is preferred. Strength in communication for direct customer relationships is also preferred. Purpose of an Account Executive We provide countless opportunities for our Account Executives (AEs) to gain insight into the commercial side of the pharmaceutical industry. As an AE, you will be able to identify new business opportunities with prospective clients. Distinguishing relevant market opportunities to target and preparing competitive pitch material and proposals to our biggest clients. We will provide you with all the resources to execute our sales strategy and manage customer relationships. AEs at Lockwood and Random42 are also responsible for reporting and communicating with the wider team on current metrics surrounding targets and performance. Overall, an AE has a vital role within the team to support the delivery of our business objectives. Responsibilities of an Account Executive This role will support the Strategic Services team at Lockwood to drive business growth by identifying and securing new clients in the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities: Understand Lockwood's business, services (medical communications, publications, and market access), and our value proposition for clients. Identify potential target companies within the pharmaceutical sector, ranging from small to large companies, focusing on those with a need for our services. Execute targeted search strategies on LinkedIn to identify key decision makers within target companies. Conduct outreach to potential clients, including initial contact and capabilities calls. Collaborate with the Strategic Services team to prepare and deliver presentation and proposals. Develop and maintain robust lead pipelines for target companies. Proactively monitor market trends and client activities/developments and share value insights to the Strategic Services team. Management of key databases (Salesforce and Google Docs), including maintenance of prospective leads and current clients data. Essential Skills or Qualifications Previous experience is not required, as training will be provided on the job. The office is easily accessible from a number of public transport stations including Bond Street and Marylebone. Upon successful completion of probation period, you will be eligible to work 2 days per week from home, which will vary each week according to our hybrid working rota which you can view in advance. If you have commitments outside work which mean you would benefit from having two fixed days from home, such as childcare drop offs or collections, then you will be able to submit a request to make this change to your working location pattern. Working Hours Our standard working hours are Monday - Friday 10:00 - 18:00 (35 hours per week plus one-hour unpaid lunch break per day). Unless otherwise specified, these will be the contracted hours for the role.
